  • Hello everyone,

Any tips on how i can get avrdude to see my hex files? I’m using Mac OSX 10.6

avrdude: AVR device initialized and ready to accept instructions

    Reading | ################################################## | 100% 0.01s

    avrdude: Device signature = 0x1e950f
avrdude: NOTE: FLASH memory has been specified, an erase cycle will be performed To disable this feature, specify the -D option.
    avrdude: erasing chip
    avrdude: reading input file “anu_0.91.hex”
avrdude: can’t open input file anu_0.91.hex: No such file or directory
avrdude: write to file ‘anu_0.91.hex’ failed

    avrdude: safemode: Fuses OK

    avrdude done. Thank you.

when I type flash:w:anu_0.91.hex… Do I need to setup the file path? Did I skip a step?

  • Is there a file named anu_0.91.hex in the directory from which you run the command?

  • Yep I got it to work, a tip for Mac users (Windows too I guess). Do not try to open it up with NotePad or Textedit. It will change the file and AVRdude will not read it correctly… I deleted it and redownloaded it and now it works.
